Dash stopped working!!

FWIW: I was having a really BAD day when I had to replace my daughter's alternator (Sierra). Eventually I brought her battery in to be tested -- it was less than a year old. It being the third or fourth trip to AZ that day, they knew my face... When I asked to have the battery checked, the guy who had helped me every time I came in just went and got a fresh battery. No questions asked. As I really appreciated their service, especially that day, I figured I should say something.
