Dash Trim Change Out Question With Pics

My passenger side trim piece had a big blemish on it and the vent was missing the little trim chrome piece. I ordered a replacement but forgot to make sure I ordered the one with the info buttons. It was a good deal new on ebay for $60 but as you can see from the pics I am going to need to change the small piece out. It seems to be attached by a melted plastic "rivet" Not that big of a deal as I guess I can just drill it out or dremel it off. I would then need to attach the new piece with some sort of adhesive. Just thought I would post to make sure no one had better suggestions. Thanks.

I took mine apart like that when I had them dipped. Glue them back with some plastic bonding epoxy...no biggie
