It's not so much that people don't notice, though I am sure that many actually are oblivious. Removing the headlight housing calls for removing the front bumper cover. Removing the housing is the only way that I can get my hands in to address my light issue. That is a lot of effort for a light I could care less about.

True! I've replaced both sockets on my 2004 "Yuk-On" SLT a few times already. Guess the traditional 4114 bulbs heat up and char and damage the internal socket contacts since they're always on as soon as you put the car in drive during the day. Last year the 4114 bulbs were replaced with LEDs. I think the LEDs don't produce as much heat as the 4114s do. So far so good.

The driving lights are part of the annual inspection so I had to fix them. It's not that difficult to replace the burnt out socket. You do it once and it's a piece of cake thereafter.
