I'm planning on purchasing the hid kit today. I love the pure white (5000k) light output. I'm ordering the hi/low since it is a yukon. It is an H13 bulb. Which watts would you guys recommend? 35watts or 55 watts?

I run the 6000K 35 watt and I love the color and output. If you go with a 55 watt, you will want at least a 6000K because you loose color with the 55 watt bulbs.
MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THE WIRE HARNESS AND RELAY KIT FROM DDM AT THE SAME TIME.

yeah i was planning on the 35 watt but i noticed that the 55watt is brighter. 35 it is. I called them to see if I needed the wiring harness and they said that its manly for the 55 watt kits. The only way to find out is if you see any flickering.

No, believe me. YOU MUST USE A WIRE HARNESS. DDM says you you might need the harness because they don't know what they are talking about when it comes to these trucks. Do yourself a favor and order the harness at the same time as the kit so you save money in shipping. YOU WILL NEED IT. ASK ANYONE ON THIS SITE THAT HAS A DDM KIT. IT IS A MUST.

yes you will in the long run need it! and it will save you $12 shipping to order now! DDM doesnt know anything about NNBS trucks or probably any trucks for that matter! haha i have a tahoe and he asked if my headlights are the DRLs! Tahoes havent used the headlights as DRLs since '99...

I would do 35 watt 5000k, i am running those (with fogs) and love it, plenty bright!

Its funny how people on here always think they won't need one until something starts going bad with them after two months, trust them when they say you do with the 35W kit too!
I have been there and done that, its just an extra $15 or $20....

They told me that the hi/lo kit already comes with the harness because it is needed to run the hi/lo function. I have 55w and have already replaced the harness. I still get occasional intermittent firing.

Part of the problem with DDM is that they specialize in German imports, so when it comes to answering questions about American rigs they dont really know much about them. But, they make a good product for an even better price.
