I wish someone in the Forum had told me they ship from China when ddmtuning is based in California. Its been a week now and all I have is a USPS shipping confirmation. Anyone who has used the Postal Service tracking knows it is crap. So basically I have no idea when they will show up.

In my experience companies always make you send back the product before replacing it. Unless you want to be billed twice the get a credit on return. They won't take the chance that you are not trying to get something for free, or know when if ever you may return their product. Just my 2 cents

I ordered some recently for a friend from ddmtuning and it came in from
china too!!! Very sketchy... First time I ordered from them it def was NOT from china though...

I'll be doing a HOW-TO utilizing spencerhids.com HID setups here shortly. He is a sponsor over at GMFS, not sure why he isn't here...yet. But anyhow, I think ya'll are going to be rather pleased with his setups.

+1. Guess I assumed too, and ya know where that gets ya. And when I called for my second order to make sure they had it 'in stock' so I'd know it wouldn't take as long, they informed me that all their product comes from China. Good product, but I'd rather buy American and have it much faster. Very deceiving when they say it ships the same day.....from halfway around the ******* world!!

Must just be the luck of the draw.... i bought 2 kits from them and they got to me in a week or less with no issues. Hopefully all your stuff gets sorted out though, always sucks having to return stuff.

Well, this is wonderful to hear, considering I just ordered my HIDs from DDMTuning Saturday night... #FacePalm... Maybe I won't have any issues, hopefully. I really don't care where my stuff is manufactured/shipped from, as long as it works... Good luck sorting things out though.

I've purchased 6 HID kits from DDM and I will never buy from them again. 2 of the 12 ballasts didn't work from the beginning, and 3 others failed within a couple months. All are using relay kits and are in a few different vehicles.

They offer lifetime warranty, but their return process is such a pain and takes so long, it's easier and much quicker to just buy new ballasts. Not to mention that their customer service is horrible and you can't ship to an address different from your billing address.

I finally switched to VVME's and couldn't be happier. The colors are much truer and the 35w slim and the 55w are brighter than DDM's. I did a side-by-side with the 55w and the difference was very clear. We'll see how long they last in comparison, but so far so good. I don't have to deal with DDM anymore, so that's a win as well.

If you google DDM and check around on other forums, you'll see that many out there have the same issues...

Not pushing for DDM or VVME... but if you google VVME's reviews as well, you will see equal number of unhappy folks out there.
Additionally, VVME ships from China as well.

Heh, wouldnt be suprised if they were not created in the same sweat-shop and simply given different labeling / packaging.
