De-mold or not to de-mold

I am considering taking the side moldings(on the doors)off my 2011 Tahoe. Can someone tell if is painted underneath the moldings?

The doors are painted underneath the side-moldings. Just take your time when your pulling the moldings off so that you don't scratch your paint. I did this with my 2001 Tahoe the other day and it looks awesome!

Are they just stuck on with dbl sided tape? I used fishing line to take off the lettering when I painted them, thought about doing the same with the moldings. Sumo, that's why I park in the boonies whenever I go somewhere

How did u get urs off? I used fishing line to take off my lettering since it was just put on with dbl sided tape, will this work? Also what is a sig pic? I'm new to this site

I would not demould. Just IMHO. They do look really good without it though.
