De-Molding Issues?

So I have been thinking about de-molding my 07 Yukon (one section is starting to peel). The last time I de-molded a vehicle it was my 03 Silverado and it was already 10 years old. My Yukon is pushing 10 years now and I'm a little concerned about the paint underneath.

I have de-badged almost every vehicle I have owned without issue but I had nothing but issues with my Silverado. The paint was bubbled under the trim, the adhesive was almost impossible to remove even with an eraser wheel, and after tons of work you could tell that there use to be trim there.

So has anyone had any issues de-molding their 07-14's? Do you think the paint will be so faded you will be able to see where the trim use to be? Does anyone have any advice or tricks?

My Yukon is red if that makes any difference. My Silverado was black which is probably why it was so noticeable.

I just don't want to remove them and have it look like crap.

I have used a 3M eraser wheel,3M adhesive remover, and goo gone adhesive remover

No issues debadging mine. I used 3M adhesive remover and fishing line.

no issues doing mine either, i used a heat gun to remove the moldings ( be careful and dont get to close with the heat gun or you can damage the paint) and then used goo gone adhesive remover to clean it up nice

If there's any sign of fading underneath the molding, a quick buff can fix it.

Did you do it? I just heated and pulled. After I just use gas on a rag works way better than goo gone I think. Then I washed it. Found a rust spot the size of a nickel under the molding where there was no adhesive. On the drivers side there was a chip in the same place but much smaller. Weird. I have a black 09 yukon, no fading.

everything they suggested works okay but what works the best is a heat gun and pair of welding gloves and a plastic puddy knife
i was able to remove all the molding from my tahoe in about 40 minutes and leave almost no residue
once you get that molding hot enough that glue underneath will comeright up
