Debating replacing torque converter as preventative maintenance

Sorry, I was referring to where the bottom of the plate for the rear seal meets up with the rear of the oil pan.

At least it looks like they join there.
yes, rtv at the 4 points where the front and rear covers meet the pan. Generally speaking I prefer something like RectorSeal Tplus2 that doesn't dry up and cleans up easy if there's ever a next time.
