I was goin to be doing a filter/fluid change and was looking at the transmission pan and mine has a dip/slope in it and from what I found in a search was this is the deep pan. if the pan was level across the whole pan it would be the shallow one....I wanted to make sure I am right and I get the right filter....Thanks

Dunno about that, but when i got a SUMMIT "deep" ATF pan for my '99 Denali, it turned out my oem pan was already a deep pan. The new pan barely holds more fluid... Oh well. The new cast pan looks much nicer and now it has a drain plug too.

turns out I did have the deep stock pan like I thought. I got the longer filter and that was that.
