Have a new Yukon Denali XL. It appears not to have adaptive cruise control? It has lane departure, the gap adjustment and full cameras along with max towing package. Can it be added? Seems unacceptable not to have it on a SUV at this price. Was built in July 2022
Thanks

If you have all that it should have it unless it's malfunctioning.

But I agree adaptive should be standard on everything.

It is on the cheapest imports.

ACC was not available on standard Denalis until Oct 3 or later builds. It cannot be retrofitted unfortunately.

Check your window sticker. Was supposed to be in the advanced tech, but you may have had a build in the time it was unavailable, or you may not have the advanced tech package, in which case you don’t have it. If you do have it, your instrument cluster will flash a message about how to change to regular cruise every time you set it…

Wait... On the '21 or '22+ you can CHANGE between ACC and regular cruise control? If so, that is a very awesome feature.

@Corvette Scott I would find it very odd that you didn't have ACC since you have the gap adjustment. The ACC very much depends on the gap adjustment feature and it's settings. So if you have your cruise control set to 75 mph and you approach a vehicle traveling 71 mph your Denali doesn't slow down and decrease it's cruising speed and maintain the gap adjustment settings you chose?

No, it does not. Looked at the window sticker and I don't see it listed or any credit.

yes you can...The more I see posted about 22's and 23's... Missing Chips, missing features, bad RSE, Google based Infotainment, etc. Seems to reinforce the fact that so far the 21's were the ones to have out of the box....

@CMoore711, yes, you can switch between ACC and Standard Cruise mode. From the 2022 Owners Manual:

And, yes, it is a "feature" to show you the following distance (in seconds) of time between you and the oncoming vehicle, as it supports the forward collision warning system:

My General advice is all owners should spend some serious time reading in the driver assistance section of the owners manual, there are a lot of features in these systems which are mis-understood by users...and your driving experience will be enhanced if you get to understand and know how they all work together.

I don't know about that. The digital guage cluster plus availability of adaptive on lower trims makes it worth it to get a 2022 or newer. Plus less lifters grenading engines and duramax not having the long start issue on later years.

Cars get improved as they go into their product cycle. RSE is fine with a mirror stick or similar.
