I recently had my Denali in the shop and had an SLT as a loaner. I like the cupholder setup in the SLT much better. The Denali has fold over lids that waste a bunch of storage space whereas the SLT has a large opening with cupholder inserts (and others, I'd guess). Does anyone now how easy it would be to pop it out? Does anyone know the p/n's for this?

Is this it?

This picture seems to show the Denali style, but I want the SLT version.

If I'm not mistaken it's direct swap. Taking them out is easy they just pop off. Or it did on mine.

Very easy to change out. Just pull up from the rear. The front has tabs that slip into a slot but the rear has clips that pull away.

Here is an example of what you are looking for.http://www.ebay.com/itm/GMC-YUKON-C...&fits=Model:Tahoe&hash=item3a793ac26e&vxp=mtr

I have seen some complaints that the one you want to go to does not hold smaller cups as well with the little rubber tabs and the cup can fly out if you have to hit the brakes or swerve hard.

It is amazing how they waste so much space in the denali/LTZ, two cups and pocket change is all that fits, neither me or my wife owns a pair of sunglasses that fits in the sun glass holder
I had no idea it would be this inexpensive, I am doing this.

I just did the opposite and went from the SLT to the Denali cup holders lol. Thanks for the hook up Nathan!

Can you give me a few tips on how to remove this section that has the clips? Start in the back and then the sides? Pry from the top with a screwdriver? I just don't want to break it. Thanks.

So is everyone pretty much in agreement that the open cup holder is better than the LTZ/Denali covered cup holder? I have an '08 Tahoe LT and had been kind of considering dropping the LTZ cup holders in because I don't like to be able to see all my spare change sitting there. I'd rather see the change than lose a lot of storage space, though. These things look a little too expensive to be worth it, too.
