My passenger side door handle is broken and the dealership is going to charge me 200$ to fix it. I have seen them online pretty cheap. Anyone know how hard it is to install one yourself? Any help would be appreciated.

It is very easy. Go to the exterior section of this forum, there are instructions on how to replace the outer door handles with pictures. It will show you have to remove the door panel. Once you have the panel off the inner handle is held to the panel by 1 screw

Any luck cwt4? I have 2 broken on my 07 as well, and the dealer wanted $281 for new ones. I found some on the net for about $34 each, but I was also wondering about the install. I didn't find much on the exterior handles in the "exterior section"

Be careful with the $34 ones from Ebay as these are the stick-on chrome handles, not that entire one-piece chrome door handle that comes with the Denali.

I got a set of OEM chrome handles (comes with 4) at CrateEngineDepot.com for $118, it's not cheap, but it's not $200 and it's the original unit, not those stick-on -- not that there's anything wrong with that :)

Were they easy to install? I just had the truck at the dealer for the interor chrome handle recall, and I tried to work a deal to get the outers replaced as well, considering there was a TSB issued for them breaking due to defective/improper grease during assembly, but they were having no part of it. I'd pay $118 in a heart beat to get 4.

They are not difficult to install but takes a lot of time. Took me an entire Saturday to get it done, but then again, I have never take off a door panel on any car in my entire life, so there was some learning curve as I try not to rip anything else apart and end up having to pay more.

Depends on the dealer you go to, you can get them to install those for you with just the labor cost of I think about 2 hours at $60. Check around though, don't just bring it in or they'll charge you an arm and a leg for it.
