I know you've been through this a million times so here's to 1000,001. I bought my truck in June with 66+K on the ODO and I have never seen more than 13.8 MPG, and that's highway. Ok granted it was 75-85MPH back and forth from Missouri to TX. I however have constantly gotten 13.6 city driving, ie work, walmart etc. Now 748 miles ago I installed a Magnaflow dual in dual out with dual tips out the side, couple of tanks later I get 14.5 MPG city by my calculations, and 15.1 by onboard computer. Comp said I used 19.9 gals fuel but I pumped 20.7 so I'll go with the manual calculations.
Now here's the issue, I was about to buy an AEM bruteforce CAI, but now I'm scared it's going to **** up my MPG. This truck will never see the track or be in a race or I would have kept the Infiniti G35 I traded for it, which was nicely modded. I therefore don't care for about the claimed HP gains from it, I just don't want to spend $285 and loose MPG which I DO care about. What should I do? What were your results after CAI. The reason I'm asking Denali guys is because I know the 4.8/5.3 guys will see different results than the 6.0/6.2 guys after they mod.
BTW: I have logged 13257 miles in 6months on this truck OOOUUCCHH
