Denali Personal Settings

We have a winner. Bill L you are 100% correct. I was at my dealer yesterday and decided to get to the bottom of this mystery. While in the past (prior to 2015) unlocking the vehicle with a key FOB may have triggered the personal settings, it doesn't in the 2015 and up models. The personal settings aren't activated when unlocking with a key FOB even though they are already linked???? Does that make any sense to anybody??? No real good explanation from GM but that's the info in the GM computer. Shadow17: If you have a 2015 Yukon and unlocking the vehicle with the key FOB triggers the personal settings there are a lot of 2015 and up owners that would like to know. Check it out and let the rest of us know. Until then I'll push the #1 button if my wife was the last to drive the vehicle. Her 5' 3" personal settings don't accommodate this 6' frame.

Yeah that makes no sense why they would change that. There isn't anything that can be changed in the settings to make it work with the fobs?

OK, I had to go out and check this again.
I have exit settings with my key fob. When I turn off the truck and open the door the seat goes back and raises. The steering wheel also raises. The doors lock after their 5 second(?) delay.
Then when I push the unlock button on my remote, nothing immediately happens.
Once I open the door the steering wheel comes down and the seat goes forward and lowers to it's preset. I then get in and start the engine.
Is this like yours too?

Not sure what you mean by "You have exit settings with your key fob." The exit settings are set using the exit setting button on the door and are independent of which key fob is present (#1 or #2).

Your seat/steering wheel/pedals move from the exit settings to the settings assigned to the key FOB (#1 or #2) when you open the door before you enter the vehicle and start the engine. Correct?

Don't you have the owners manual? I would think that's covered in there. Sorry I'm no help but my truck is old school. I just know all my settings are explained in the manual.

My 2017 Suburban Premier should be the same.

So you've set the seat, mirrors and steering wheel positions for FOB#1 and differently for FOB#2
You should have also set the exit positions (were you want to seat and searing wheel to move when you turn the truck off)

Once these are all set this is how the personal setting are going to work.

You (FBO#1) you unlock the door and hop in the truck the seat, steering wheel and mirrors will be still in the exit position, once you start the truck everything will move to the positions assigned to FOB#1.
You turn off the truck and open the drivers door all three will move back to the exit position.
You wife drives next (FOB#2) she'll unlock the door hop into the truck, again seat, steering wheel and mirrors will be in the exit position.
She'll start the car and all three will move to the positions assigned to FOB#2.
She turns off the truck opens the drivers door and the three will move the the exit position.

Oddly, mine is not like above. My seat, pedals, steering wheel move when I open the door. I do not need to start the truck for them to move.
Perhaps I got a special upgrade!
