I made a box that would fit in the spot where it looks like a speaker should be. I would love your expert opinions. the Box fits perfectly in that place where the jack and tools got I will just put them some where else and I picked out a sub and an amp. The sub will be perfect for the reduced depth I got ROCKFORD FOSGATE P3SD2-8 PUNCH 8" SHALLOW SUBWOOFER 2 OHM, then for a subwoofer I got the Rockford Fosgate Prime R500X1D 500 Watt Mono block Class D Subwoofer Amplifier. So I will have enough of clean power being able to push the subwoofer shallow subwoofer. I can put the original molding over the box and amp and I plan to cut speaker slots where the subwoofer grille is at on the Yukon Xl Denali, they used to have an 8" speaker in the back where in the late 90's. then it was changed the 8' into the front right, leaving the grill is at on the driver side so I need to just take a device to cut holes to ;et the speaker sound come on out. all for $230. Do you think is it a good try.

Okay back to your previous thread did you ever figure out how much airspace is in the box you built? If not then i guess your winging it. The sub and amp should work. It seems everyone uses a dremel to cut the slots out. It is very slow and tedious.

Good luck. Post up some pictures of your progress.

My box has 4.9 space and my speaker is 4.3 and then it have the space going up around the wheel well so it is and awkward design so I hope the air space I have within the box. our weather has been in the -20's so I haven't had the urge to go in the garage and spend $$$ to heat it up in the garage and installing it while I have 4 more month's before it working on it along with the rest of all the parts to put on it.

In for results. This setup is something I'd be interested in trying.
