Has anyone ever seen or know anything about switching out the front end body panels (grill, hood, fenders bumper) on a 2007-2013 Denali with the ones that come on the same year Denali trucks? I like having the SUV but I have never liked the style of the front end on the 07-13 Yukons. I think the front end of the Denali truck model is much more attractive.

My thought was to find a salvage Denali truck with an intact front end (which I know could be difficult since that seems to be where the most damage occurs in a wreck) and have a body shop paint match and install the truck front end body parts on a Denali SUV. I think that would look pretty cool and be unique.

I would assume they should fit seamlessly between the two since they are basically the same under the surface but not sure. I am not much of a gear head so was just looking for some thoughts on this like problems in accomplishing the switch and range of total cost. Has anyone ever seen a picture of a Denali with this front end switch done on it? Thanks for your input!

We'll I'm not an expert, but I would think you might run into some issues with the way the truck panels would fit on the Yukon as the two front ends are shaped differently. Might have to have custom fabrications made to the Yukon to make them work and bolt up properly. Especially the side fenders as they don't appear to be the same size in the length area. But I could be wrong. Just my two cents.

Yes they swap but fenders are completely different so it looks weird. You would need a body shop to custom shave the Yukon fenders to meet truck to look right. Just get a Denali truck. I would have but couldn't find my rare blue color in it

There was a guy on here with a Tahoe who did the same thing - Silverado front end and went on and on how he was going to put truck quarter panels on it so the body lines would match the front fenders. He never came back once we said it wouldn't ever look right, and would cost way too much to make it worth it.

If its a show only truck and you have a big budget - go for it. If this is a "lets just see how it looks", don't spend the money.

I will say the Sierra front clip matches up a lot better than a Silverado front clip. You'll still need the fenders, hood, radiator support, lights, bumper, frame horns, all grille brackets to make it work. We've done a few and it doesn't look bad, especially when its a Sierra Denali front (all painted). It can be done easily, but again, it wont flow with the rear quarter panels.

Exactly that. But you can see the wheelhouse lines dont match. Looks off - but better than if a Silverado front was on it.

Conversions like these have been going on since the 99 Denali / Escalade on pickups and vice versa. Nothing new here.
