My gmc Yukon xl ultimate just stalled mid driving on a highway. Mid drive engine shut off no error codes. Won’t crank won’t shift to neutral. Prior to this happening about 30 min I heard tapping almost like a small jack hammer sound when foot was pressed on gas.

One week prior we had the muffler replaced for grinding sounds above 1000rmp which we didn’t hear after it was fixed. One week to the date total engine just shuts off and had to be towed. ANYONE HAVE UPDATES?
What year is your Denali?

One of the first post from Abbymor indicated he has a 2023 gmc Yukon xl Denali, so this means it has a 6.2l. Another 2023 or later model 6.2l failure!

The other concerning issue is his vehicle appears to have come from Canada and then brought into the US from the looks of his posts. When I was originally looking into used, low mileage vehicles, I found that because of the exhange rate and some other factors, there was a large inventory of vehicles in the US that had originally been sold in Canada. I think the Canadian dealers were making out by using the vehicles as Demo's then sending them to Auction in the US and making money?

There may have been some warranty issues on these vehicles, not 100%, sure but the more I searched and found Canadian delivered vehicles, I would immediately strike them off my search list because I did not want to find out if there were any If's, And's and But's with the vehicles that were originally sold in Canada then brought into the US with regard to Warranty coverage.

Sorry about that. Was viewing the post on my phone at the time and didn't recall the previous post.

I clearly understand. This is why I often search members prior posts to see what info I can find.

Unfortunately often times people do not provide enough details and/or have their vehicle info in their signature line.

And as mentioned on a phone or possibly a tablet, often the signature line does not even show up!
