Morimoto 35W XB 4500K bulbs in H1 base.

Also, after some reading it looks like the DEPO adjusters are a 5/32" socket instead of a 4mm. I just assumed being non-american in origin it would be using non-freedom unit fasteners. So I suppose it's possible the one adjuster that I thought was stripped was just slipping on the 4mm socket. Though 5/32"=3.96mm so I have a hard time believing a 1% size difference was my issue, but then again it is to Chinese tolerances.

My couple day review is that I'm pretty happy with it so far. I haven't done as much night driving as I'd like to, but what I have lights up well.

Also forgot to mention, I had a 3M headlight polishing kit lying around that came with some kind of UV protective wipes that I hadn't used. So, since the DEPO lights probably aren't made of the highest UV resistant plastics I took it upon myself to scuff the lenses with the 3000 grit polishing pad and then coated it with the UV protective wipes. Don't know if it will do any good, but it didn't cost me anything and it gives some piece of mind.

I am currently gathering all the components to start this project for my truck. After sanding down the DEPO shroud, did you have to JB Weld it in place? Do you think the Mini Gatling Gun shrouds would work at all? Would they work better and would they look good? Please let me know, I will probably have to contact you many more times, haha. Thanks in advance.

They work and fit. Look better ? Thats up to you and your preference of what’s better looking:shrug:. Personally I’m gonna use the depo shrouds and save these for another project. 8E72E876-E2EF-48F0-A87D-00D9E4E8CA80.jpeg

I think they look pretty good. Aren't they easier to use too. Can't you attach those shrouds to the new projector? Based on what I've read, you have to JB Weld the old DEPO shrouds in place? that seems a little cheap and possibility of them coming loose or not being straight. On a different note, any words of advise? Did you have to do all of the spacing of the brackets and everything as described on the original post? Any other pictures you can post of your project along the way or the finished project? Thanks in advance, gonna start on mine this week.

To be honest I think you might have gotten better results with the Depo headlamp by itself, and without the Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 projector.

Test results below:

Idk about those charts . Depends on what best suits you I guess.

Halogen stock depo really ain’t that bad out of the box 8D608EDA-AA09-4593-8B95-B6A703EE3A98.jpeg58D66BD6-97D1-4FC7-A96B-963CF68EA72D.jpeg

But here’s a retrofit depo with acme mini h1. It is better for me. Longer distance with sharper cutoff B750DC84-1509-4CB1-B0A5-2D49CE65D790.jpegADC9692E-D9C7-4995-961A-8E1EFCA7E687.jpeg

FYI that grey “silicone” you encountered was indeed Permaseal, I dealt with it when retrofitting my Anzo u-bars with mini H1’s. No amount of baking will do much of anything to it without melting the housings.

Have you made any more progress on your build? I just got my DEPO projectors out today and I am debating on going with the mini gatling gun shrouds. It seems like all the interference comes from the DEPO shrouds on having to use spacers and what not. Let me know your progress!
