I am not sure "coast longer" tells us dfm is on or off. Benefit of the range is that you can still use another obd device to monitor cylinder activation or other stuff.

What is really happening in 0 cylinder mode? All valves stay closed?

Hey, thanks for your review on our device. We're sorry you weren't pleased with the results. We went through ALOT of testing and disabling the 0-cylinder mode at 0% throttle input had some negative driving results we weren't happy with. Disabling that 0-cylinder mode removes the vehicles built in engine braking and caused a massive dropped in fuel economy (2-3mpg) so we opted to leave the 0-cylinder on decel active. After feedback from some users, such as yourself, we are working on implementing the ability to choose whether you keep 0-cylinder or not. We'll be sure to keep our social media channels updated on that progress.

Really appreciate your feedback, but I’m not following you with this part. If your RPMs increase going down hills, doesn’t that mean that the transmission is downshifting and the engine is providing braking? (If so, you’d want that when towing a load, no?) Hoping you can clarify this for me. Thanks.
Don’t know, just be careful going down hill while using carbyte.

I’m not questioning anything you’ve experienced. I’m just trying to understand what you’re saying.

Are you saying that with the Carbyte in, you DON’T get the same engine-braking/slowing of the truck going downhill as with the Carbyte removed? Or the complete opposite?

Thanks again.
