Just downloaded the 87 performance tune from diablo sport into my 2011 Tahoe... Can't wait to take it for a spin in the morning... Dark rainy roads are no way to test a tune...

Nice, a tune does work wonders!

Not sure if you ever worked with "Diablew Tune" or not, he's one of their support guys and does a lot of custom tuning for people. He now carries our line of CAI's so if you ever want a high quality intake and need to adjust the tune you can contact him. If you have any questions just let me know, email or PM works best. Take care and congrats on the upgrade!

Looking at the DiabloSport Trinity + custom tune from Diablew as my next upgrade. Besides the programmers, what's the difference between the inTune and Trinity?

Trinity basically has a built in gauge setup while the intune doesn't. You can also do 0-60's, 1/8, 1/4 etc...

what exactly have you noticed about the 87 tune as far as driveability ?

I am currently playing with a superchips 91 performance tune, as the added power should help pull the weight better.

I do know most tunes reduce the amount of torque management by roughly 70%, and thus allowing more power to the ground, this alone feels much butter.

I may even try the stock with options tune, and just adjust the TM features.
my tuner will allow, several percentages under their value which makes each setting closer to stock, and then allows for a 125% of their value, thus being even less TM than there tune setting.

the shift schedule is by far improved with a tuner ( or at least mine) , I can tell when it shifts, and actually feel it taking place.

I really like my intune and it is quite noticeable when you go back to stock. I prefer the 91 diablo tune ...uses more gas but I never bought this truck for it's mileage :) Nice that shift programs are avail now too...it took them a while to add that last year. You can also adjust shift firmness and that is really noticeable. I like the firm shifting but I'm worried it will put too much strain on the tranny over the long run so I don't set it there anymore. AND...because I have 26" wheels, I am able to adjust the spedo for that so I am accurately displaying my speed. Funny how those big wheels make such a difference with the speedo. All in all, good bang for the buck IMO.
