Meguiar's released some new products and since I did need to correct the paint this just lit a fire under me to get it done.

Truck is a 2001 with 140,*** miles. Never been clay bared or really ever waxed. Scratches have accumulated over the last 10 years.

The new products are the DA Microfiber system and their new Ultimate Wax. The wax is cool because it doesn't stain the trim or turn the trim white.

I must say the DA Microfiber system is amazing but the Ultimate wax once I figured out how to apply it blew me away.

Process:
- Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner on Wheels
- Wash with Ultimate Wash & Wax
- Clay barred
- DA Microfiber system D300 on speed setting 5.5 with G100
- Ultimate Wax on 9006 pad on speed setting 3 with G100
- Scratch X on inside of door handles
- Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Coating
- Ultimate Protectant on all black trim
- Stoner's Invisible Glass on windows

Test spot on hood:

Took me longer than I thought to do the whole car but it needed it badly.

While the paint looks good, it's just because it is white. It was hard to get the camera to focus on the swirls, more so than a dark colored vehicle.

Test spot with the DA Microfiber system. Cutting pad and D300 on a G100 speed setting 5.5. Keep in mind this was the first panel I ever did with this system.

After one pass:

I rocked and rolled. I did the passenger front fender, hood, driver front fender, driver door, passenger door, and rear drivers fender before I called it a night and went to sleep.

Three different neighbors came over, drank some beer and watched me. They were just as amazed as I was at how well the DA Microfiber system was kicking butt!

Woke up this morning and knocked out the rest of the vehicle. The roof was no fun!

There was no need for the D301 finishing wax. I had NO hazing and the paint was as smooth as glass. The Ultimate Wax had a learning curve. Needed to be shaken very well and applied extremely thin. It was impossible to see where the wax was as it doesn't turn white. You could see the nice layering in the sun. Did the whole car in 15 minutes. Removal made waxing cars fun again. Came off EXTREMELY easy with zero effort.

Look at that reflection! Even on white paint. All done!

I was gonna post up and say "I'm impressed", BUT.........Why do all of your photos have "meguires online" embedded into them? LOL! You're totally spammin', aren't you?

That's a legit question, Chip.....

Either way, there is no way in hell I would spend 9 hours waxing my truck. I'll pay a detail shop to do that for me, I don't have the patience, and it'd be dirty again in a day or two....lol. That is one shiny wax job, though! Looks awesome.

They sure are. I needed new tires and the cheapest I found was around $650. Balancing, plus th fees to buy the new tires and to get rid of the old ones adds up. I picked these up brand new with less than 1000 miles on them for $600. I need to get the Chevy center caps still. These Hybrid wheels came off a Yukon Hybrid.

It's actually supposed to rain Monday. I'm excited to see how the water reacts to this new wax. I'll be sure to take pics if it rains.

Yup, sure is. It's actually an early 2001 model too I'm pretty sure. I used the same trim detailer on the black pieces inside the engine bay and I used Meguiar's Leather Cleaner/Conditioner on the leather. I used Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer on the dash and the rest of the plastic on the inside.

Haha, no. More lazy than anything. I uploaded the pics to Meguiar's site first and was to lazy to rehost them on ImageShack or the like.

Thanks again for the nice words guys!

It really does look good. I just know I'd get like an hour into it and just go, "screw this...it'll probably rain tomorrow, anyway."
