Ordered a 2021 denali yesterday, order accepted by gm; had to skip trailer brake controller and floor mats otherwise the order wouldn't go.

The floor mats are stupid. The Integrated Brake Controller is important to me. and I wouldn't order one without it.

My AT4 is in Portland waiting a transport to Olympia; should have it next week. Has all options but they forgot to install the locking center storage box and didn't add the Interior Protection Package I ordered. Anyone know if the dealer can install those options?

when was your TPW
I don't know the TPW on it. I purchased the truck just as it came off assembly. Had one on order but GM would never pick it up, so we cancelled and found one that had just been completed. We fly to WI in the a.m for pickup

I had SUCH a bad experience at a dealership yesterday. I had been contacting various dealerships about getting a 21 Denali about 5 weeks ago. I live in the Seattle area and there were ZERO denalis on any lots, and most inventory coming in was already spoken for. I worked with a dealership here in Bellevue and put a deposit (500) down on a vehicle. I get excited and get a call about a week ago that the car has been built and has a VIN so it's time to come in and sign.

The Sticker on the vehicle was 82,800, which I was FULLY expecting to pay. When I show up, they have the purchase price of the vehicle at 95k, and they won't budge, they say that they can and will fully sell the vehicle at that price. SUCH A JOKE.

So obviously I decline, as I'm not going to pay over sticker, i hate even paying sticker. I ask for the sales manager and ask him "so, if I were to custom build and order one, would you turn around and up charge me once the vehicle is delivered" He replies, it all depends on the incentives that month. So i say, what are the incentives this month. He says there aren't any. So i again ask, if there aren't any incentives the month when my vehicle arrives, will I pay what was agreed, or can they charge me anything they want. He says it all depends.

SUCH A JOKE!

Does anyone have any advice or input? I'm just about ready to stop pursuing this vehicle until they are able to make more, or until the 22 comes out.

Wow!! That is complete BS. Sorry dude. I'd see what other dealers, possibly in other states, are willing to do.

I wouldn’t pay sticker price or higher. In a year when the chips are available and these trucks are readily available they will come back to market value and you will lose $25k In value in a heartbeat.
My dealer is honoring gms employee price and only reason I’m getting one is because our 2018 Tahoe went up $5k in value over the last 3-4 months so I decided to pursue a 2021.

There was a news report here in Honolulu which stated that this is a bad time to purchase new vehicles as the supply is low, so the dealers hold ALL the cards. They basically have us by the short & curlies as they can sell to the highest bidder or WAY OVER MSRP. One good note did present itself though and that was dealers are paying top dollar for good used cars/vehicles, which means your trade in is worth more now. My dealer keeps contacting me about selling my 2012 Yukon SLE which they know is in very good condition. My Kelly Blue Book is $13K and the dealer will give me, for a trade-in, $15K. But I'm done with vehicle payments and seeing how SUV prices are through the roof I think I'll wait it out. I just broke 101,300 miles so I'm just getting started. I'll do the maintenance and wait this crazy shit out!

This is exactly what I have been going through for months. A little piece of advice coming from someone who called almost every GM Dealership in the US. Call small dealerships in rural areas. No joke, you'll find a better deal, and wont get bent over. We found a Yukon 1500 miles away that was the exact build we tried to order. GM wouldn't take our order because we wanted the Max Trailer Package. The dealership even honored their sale price that it was listed for online. Do not call large dealerships, do not call in populated cities.
