If I were you I'd wait it out awhile. They never go back to an older calibration.......only newer to satisfy CAFE. I've been in the engine development game for many years and that never happens.

Here is the HP/torque curve. Put it on a dyno if you’re so concerned. Numbers won’t lie.

I went ahead and had them do the update. Also, had an over the air update the next day. After about 200 miles of driving, I've seen no difference in power or (DIC indicated) fuel economy or anything else. The DIC has always been pretty close to hand calculated, but I have yet to refuel since getting the updates so I have no numbers there.
