difference in towing between 01 and 05

I don't know how big the boat is, but when pulling my 6000lb. 27' travel trailer the wind makes a HUGE difference. Even as small a difference as a 10mph headwind vs. tailwind. I pulled it once in a 40mph cross wind with my 01 Suburban and could only get up to 53mph on level Interstate without kicking down to 2nd gear. I ususally don't have any problems going 75.

its a 22' Angler openfish. i would say its around 5k lbs with fuel, water, etc. its a full bracket closed transom boat too so that adds a little weight.
