How do find out if my 2018 Tahoe has adaptive cruise control ?

That is not the adaptive cruise control button. That is the button for the Forward Collision Alert. If equipped with adaptive cruise control, the button would be in the same spot, but with a slightly different illustration that shows one car following another, but not hitting the car in front. And on the steering wheel control there will be a button to adjust the distance at which it will follow the car ahead of you.

IMO, thats not a bad thing. I never use the cruise anymore because the ACC is terrible on my Denali. It randomly slams on the brakes if it thinks something is in your lane ( going around a curve on the interstate, car in the slow lane, slams brakes. Random reflection it thinks is an object, slams brakes). I wish I could turn it off.Ok than I don't have adaptive cruise control -/

actually you know what I do have it on my steering wheel there’s a button that allows it to change the three different settings farthest and closest and when I have the cruise control set every now and then something in the road causes that red light to flash on the windshield on , and the truck brakes. It scares the crap out of me. I also have lane assist which is so much fun to let the truck stay in laneIMO, thats not a bad thing. Idk what a recovery hook isOn the drivers side where the recovery hook would go will have the ACC Module blocking the installation of a hook. Nothing on the passenger side...
That sounds like forward collision alert. Adaptive cruise will follow the vehicle in front and slow you down to match the speed of the vehicle in front of you. With mist adaptive cruise control, you can nest the following distance which will also have the effect of determining how sensitive it is.actually you know what I do have it on my steering wheel there’s a button that allows it to change the three different settings farthest and closest and when I have the cruise control set every now and then something in the road causes that red light to flash on the windshield on , and the truck brakes. My coworker has the ford sedan which is long it's like a Taurus anyways it has ACC and he says it works amazing.
I don't know how to disable it other than using the closest setting.
