My 1500 stopped fine pulling 5K trailer with no brakes on it in stop and go city driving. Well, it did have brakes, just a knucklehead operator (me!) who used the 4-pin adapter instead of the 7-pin for a few runs! LOL

I run Autozone's Duralast Max ceramic brake pads, never had an issue nor felt the need to install slotted/drilled rotors.

Brakepreformance.com slotted and dimpled rotors with a lifetime warranty. Got them on the '05 Tahoe when the original rotors needed to be replaced. Great company to work with.
