Do the brakes need to be pre bled via scanner/tech II?

I had to replace a ton of stuff on my brakes recently but still have a bit of a spongy feel. I heard that if air got into the master, that the dealer has to pre-bleed the master with a handheld, anyone ever have to do this?

dont think so, i think you can buy something to put on the end of the line that will bleed it and get the air out....my dad has it ill have to ask him

I've bled the system several times for each wheel yet the spongy feel is still apparent.

If you have air in the ABS module (not the master) the only way to bleed it is to use a Tech II. You can try the poor mans method of just driving and hitting the brakes to activate the ABS but it will take several tries.
