Does anybody repair seat motors or just replace?

My driver's seat will move forward/backward but will not move up/down nor does the tilt forward/backward (of the bottom cushion) work. The reclining and lumbar motors work fine.

When I push the controller down I can hear a motor working but the seat doesn't move.

I've seen others ask similar questions and the stock answer seems to be: Replace the seat. I'm reluctant to do that because mine is in good condition apart from (what it seems like) only one motor not engaging (and the motor itself seems to be working, just not engaging with the mechanism that raises/lowers and tilts the bottom cushion.)

So has anyone fixed this problem?

Heating element(s) are probably shot. Once you replace them, seat control movement should return. You can buy the element pads on Amazon or EBay for $30-40 each.

Yeah, but the pics are gone. Lots of posts can be found with a search. This video will help.

I have heated seats and they work fine. But the seat will not go lower. How could one affect the other?
