Does anyone else drive around with their back right seat down?

I have no idea what you guys are talking/complaining about. I drive with all seat rows upright & intact all the time and I have zero issues with visibility......and I’m shorter than average.

I'm 5'9", and if I turn over my right shoulder to look out the back right window, the headrest of the back right seat completely blocks that window. There are a couple roads here where you have to merge from the left and the right mirror just doesn't cut it, so I need to be able to see out that window. I have the seat positioned normally too. I really don't get how anyone can see out that window if the headrest is there.

You can clearly see the difference here. For someone my height (with the drivers seat positioned normally) the back right headrest totally blocks the back right window. And that's why I drive with that seat down 24/7 unless somebody needs to sit there.

Ok.
The headrests on the third row in my '08 are considerably smaller. So there's that.

Still, I don't need to see out that rear-side window to merge or change lanes---I rely on the convex mirrors added to me exterior rear view mirrors.

Just one man's experience.

Wait a minute, I looked at the pic again and you're talking about the rear (2nd row) seat headrest, not the 3rd row headrest. I have captains chairs in my 2nd row and the headrest is the same size as what I'm seeing in your photo. I haven't found that to be a visual obstacle. Maybe it's user perception....?

Just did some googling, looks like the captains chairs in the 2nd row in the earlier years of our generation came with more low-profile headrests compared to what I have in a '13.

OK
Maybe this is yet one more reason for me to sit tight with my ol' '08. :)
