I've got a Scangauge II (SGII) on my 4runner and would like to use it on my next vehicle. Is anyone here running a SGII on their Tahoe, Suburban or Yukon? If so, were you able to read the TFT (Transmission Fluid Temperature) X-gauge on it? Since I pull a trailer I like to know the trans temp if possible.

I know the 6.0 models (and I presume the 2500's with the 8.1) came with a factory trans temp gauge but I'm pretty set on getting one with a 5.3 for a number of reasons.

Thanks in advance!

I have one in my 2002 Suburban and it does read trans temp. I had to assign it to an x-gauge using the codes on their website. I also swapped in an Escalade gauge cluster that has a trans temp gauge. It dropped right in and the trans temp gauge works.

FWIW, I tried to program it for AFR as well, but couldn't get that to work. Could be operator error:)

For those of you that use the SGII, where do you mount it? I have it on top of the steering column on my 4runner but I think if I did this on a Suburban I would be blocking the information center, right?

It would only tell you commanded afr anyway, no way to get the real afr without a wideband.

I gutted the cassette deck, it wasn't being used anyway.
