After losing heat on my 2005 tahoe yesterday I traced it back to a diverter. No big deal, but it seems like avery couple of months I have a bad dome light switch in a $250 door latch, or my spedometer is pined on 100mph or a bulb is out in my radio or a window switch doesnt work or my heated seat wont come on or my left side directional wont work because a LED is out in my mirrior... what else... oh yeah my rear windsheld wiper wont come on.

I must say, it has been fun and all tracing electrical problems around to bad, overpriced components over the last year or so. Seems like every time something doesnt work i look it up and its a "common problem" if I am not mistaken, arent these components primaraly delphi?

This hasnt been my only car of recent years that had BCM related issues. Is it just me or are all these components crap? I am getting frustrated and trying to figure out if I want to invest in GM again on my next truck. I am kind of hoping that perhaps my truck is a dud and I will have better luck next time. For those of you with 7 year or older trucks, is what I am experiacning typical? If so, are there any year tahoes which are less suseptable to this headache? I am looking into a 2008 now, the "newer" body style. Do they share the same issues?

i think you got a dud. mine's a 2000. first of its kind and built pretty solid. only electrical parts that have been replaced are my turn signal lever and fuel pump.
