I've seen in my owners' manual and on websites like Driverside a number of inspections and lubircation of chassis, weatherstriping etc., but does the dealership actually perform these services? I've seen that they never did it for my Trailblazer, which has 180k miles and a squeaky door hinge that was never lubricated like the manual says it should be, so I'm curious to know if anyone has some info on this.

I have a feeling that only a tech that really cares about what they're doing will. I bet most of them just do the ones they feel are more important or ones that have been brought to their attention.

Hey, not to be a butthole but I just sayin'...

Don't count on the dealership for everything. I took in a problem 4 times and it is still really not fixed. You should consider yourself lucky for the stuff they can do and do right.

Also, if you know you have a squeaky door hinge, why would not spray it yourself.

It is your truck, your responsibility........ and if you are on TYF you are wiser than the average soccer parent.

Sorry if I offended you.

What you are saying is valid, and I did spray the door hinge, but it makes me mad that when I pay the dealer and trust them to perform listed services they don't.

If its a listed service, then there's nothing wrong with you holding them accountable and expecting them to perform the service. Maybe next time you're at the dealer you should call them on it.

When i get a car i do the service. Lube doors as all. One the customer pays for a service and they should get what they paid for and secondly, thats what i get paid to do. There are people out there that dont know what included in a 19 point or what ever number check. There are honest guys out there, just unfortunately it takes one bad experience to ruin it for those guys.
