I have an '11 Yukon, and I'm trying to figure out a pet barrier solution. It's a shame GMC doesn't seem to have an OEM option (a buddy of mine has a Subaru and Subaru has a slick OEM pet barrier) truly made to fit the vehicle. I picked up one of the adjustable, tubular ones at Cabelas and gave that a try. You twist at the top and bottom to hold the barrier in place with pressure. I actually liked the fit of that barrier pretty well, but it seemed like if I tightened it enough to where my dog wouldn't knock it down leaning against it the contact points would leave dents in the headliner - definitely not what I'm after.
I picked up a pet net barrier and thought I'd give that a try. It's nice - attaches with bungee cords at 6 different points. The trouble is, there aren't that many good spots to attach the cords. The seatbelt is too far forward, and if I attach it directly to the seats it sags and doesn't really do the job well. So I think to make this one work I'd have to install a couple hooks of my own on the pillars between the second and third row windows and maybe on the headliner as well. I'm not thrilled about doing that either.

It seems like there must be something out there that fits a little better than what I'm trying. For as many Tahoes/Suburbans/Yukons/Escalades that there are out there you would think someone would have come up with a pet barrier that fits well without damaging the interior. No?

SW CT,
For all the reasons you posted above...I use these on the 2nd row buckets....what I like is you can still recline the seats and is easily adjusted and removed.

I have a pressure one that I picked up from amazon that keeps the pups in the rear area and does not dent the headliner. I also went through this same debate but am happy with the one I got and it only cost me $20 or so.
