doing an install adding an amp and subs to my factory headunit. got a pac moduel for my signal to rcas for the amp. im running a slash series jl audio 1000/1 it requires 0 gauge wire. my question is what is the best way to get this huge wire through the firewall? is there a certain grommet guys go thru? or do you drill your own hole and put in a grommet?? any help or input would be appreciated

Run it underneath the vehicle and then come out inside the rear cargo side panel. Here's how I did it in my 07, but same could go for your NBS

Are you talking the door sills inside the truck? I was planning on running mine that way but my question was how to get the wire through the firewall

yess thats how i did it and ran it through the fire wall..you will see over the pedals there is a chunck of wires runnig through there with a gasket what i did was put it to the side a bit to make enough room to pass the wire..believe me its not easy but it is possible

I ran mine through the large firewall grommet as well, but the proper way to do it (and the way I'll be redoing mine when I run my second string of 0 gauge) is the way NathanJax posted above.
