Dome Light Issue

Let me start by saying I have been on the forum for a while now, but never really posted anything. Extremely using info on here and I don't know how I could get anything done without it.

Now the the point, I picked up a 2000 Escalade and I have a laundry list of problems so I thought I would start simple. After doing some research with no definitive answers I thought I would ask outright. My dome light doesn't come on when they doors are open and please for the love of god do not comment about the dome override switch. I know it's there and that was the first place I checked. So I replaced the whole head light switch assembly and ran through and tested all my fuses on the side of the dash.

Any ideas or suggestions on what I could check?

So NONE of the doors will trigger the light. It's not just the drivers door?

I believe this is what you want, the map lights dont come on when the doors open for your year, only manually. But there is a way to make the two lights turn on as well.

That is indeed the ticket to get your dome lights to work with the rest of the interior lights, just install it pretty much like I spelled out and you should be trouble free! Still running that setup since I first installed it and it's worked flawless!

None of the INTERIOR lights come on when I open any of the doors. However when I use the dimmer switch on the headlight control switch all the lights come on. I actually replaced the headlight switch pictured below and also changed both front door plungers and still nothing.

UPDATE! I pulled my rig into the shop last night. The shop was dark and I was messing with the dials and buttons. After hitting the dome override button, the dome lights came on very very dim. If it wasn't completely dark in the shop I wouldn't have seen it.

Any ideas?
