I come out of a grocery store, and found someone had slammed their metal cart into my Yukon door, and just left it there. The PDR guys went in behind the panel, and massaged all the dents out with their tools. I could not see one imperfection when they were done. It was a fraction of what a body shop would have charged, and kept the paint original.

I had a couple of dings removed via PDR from my pickup few years back. Completely satisfied, and surprisingly inexpensive, even though I paid out of pocket.

Do not buy the DIY kits off Amazon! They will pull the dent out too far and make it worse. Find a reputable paintless dent removal artist in your area. I got a nasty quarter size ding in my brand new 2022 Tahoe a few years ago. I was sick. After watching a few YouTube videos on what these guys can do I called a mobile repair shop that came to my house. 250 bucks later and you can’t even see the dent.

PDR shops make quick work of dings. Go watch some of their content. I say “artist” cause they are. They have an arsenal of tools to make the dent disappear.

Or hot melt glue to affix a piece of metal to pull on the sheet metal.

I did this for my Pontoon boat where there were a couple of dents on the side panels. It worked but not happy with the results. Its good enough for the boat. I would not do this on my Burb

Funny, when I read this at first I was wondering why anyone would want to remove the chime when the door was open, then i realized he meant a small dent. Most dealers have a PDR guy, you could ask them, I have had several small dents (Dings) removed and most places do a really good job, I would avoid the chains like dent-wizard, go for a local independently owned PDR as they are usually way way better at what they do. A good PDR will remove the dent and you will never know it was ever there. They use rods that have different ends and angles on them from balls, to spoons to points. They slowly work out the dent from the inside of the panel. A lot of times even Dealer auto auctions have them walking around to fix them.

I disagree. I was able to pull a few minor dents with one of those DIY kits. For more serious stuff, of course I'm not recommending going the DIY route. But for small stuff, worth a shot. In my case, PDR services are expensive where I live. So YMMV.
