Or position it on the right side, between the seat and console, with butt facing forward for a cross draw.

Another possibility is on the lower dash panel, under the headlight/4wd knobs, with the butt facing towards the door. A cheap Glock belt slide holster would work good for this.

Oh, and here's a couple pics of a Glock 19/23 in a Zorn kydex IWB holster stuck in the door pocket.

I don't think this option will work. For starters, the plastic belt clip doesn't hold the holster very tightly to the door, it can slide easily front to rear of the pocket. Also, there is not enough room to draw the pistol from the holster because the bottom of the armrest/door bolster gets in the way. You can see how close it is with the Glock 19/23, so with a G17 it will be even closer.

Problem with a door pocket mount is it may get wet during a rain.....

if it cant hold up to a few drops every now and then, it is junk and it needs not be in a edc rotation.


as far as other locations go it would need to be up higher I would think than the door pocket or seat bracket, if it is that low it will not be easy to reach and may as well just keep it on your hip.
