Hey y'all. 99 Yukon SLT. Power door locks function perfectly via key fob, but not by way of any of the finger switches in the truck - driver door, passenger door, inside of D pillar. Neither lock nor unlock work. Don't know when they stopped working. Fuses in dash and under hood all good. Relay? Easiest way to diagnose? Many thanks for any help!

No takers on this one? I know I can't be the only guy who has had this problem. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to "help you help me" or if no one is chiming in because this has already been covered exhaustively.

so, i didn’t get any responses on this but i did resolve the issue and the solution was so strange to me that i thought it might one day save someone else here from going through the head scratching i did.

i had bought a cheap cigarette lighter off amazon, cheapest i could find, just to have something to sit inside the top of my three dash outlets - for a few bucks it felt like a nice, “period correct” touch for my truck…to go along with the ashtrays in the doors and the hank williams jr greatest hits tape i keep in the deck. with that thing in there, not even pressed in but just sitting in there in the normal off position, it was killing my #13 fuse. i had the right fuse in there, 20a. if i put my usb power adapter in the same plug, and even drawing current to for instance charge my phone, it was fine. door locks work, everything's great. but put the lighter in the socket, it blows.

i had known for some time that neither the locks nor the cig lighter plug were working, but i’d never put the two together…until i read up on some posts here….and i would have SWORN that the #13 was fine. guess i just didn’t look close enough.

cheap cig lighter? no idea. but no problems with that plug nor with the locks now that it’s in the trash.
