just a couple of ?s for a few people that are more well versed in vehichles than i am. I am kinda a paranoid person about my vehicles and when my relatives were visiting this weekend and looking at my new 07 yukon they both opened the rear driver side door pretty hard all the way until the hinge was maxed out. Now i didnt hear anything pop or crack or anything like that but i have had a trailblazer in the past that had a hinge popped from the same thing... does anyone think that this would have damaged the door? Like i said i do not notice anything abnormal but just want a 2nd opinion on how tough are these door hinges... sorry for asking just really really paranoid about my vehicles. and the 2nd part of the ? i spoke with the previous owner of my yukon and found out he ran dino oils but changed them every 3-4 thousand miles (or so he says who actually knows what a previous owner did or did not do) i am a synthetic only guy i just dont see how you pay lots off money for a nice vehicle then run shi**y oils and wear it out faster.. so i guess i was just wondering what if any opinions there were out there about dino oils being run in a high $ truck like this. its still running strong from what i can tell just wondering tho i am a hobbie-ist at best when it comes to vehicles but i do spend alot of $ to maintain them the best i can so a more experienced opinion would be much appreciated!!

if the doors still open and close fine, your good.

Every 3-4K is fine as long as you rarely see dirt roads, which sounds like you are avoiding. ;)

I use conventional oil, at 90K and great oil pressure, no issues.

I run dino oils in all my cars and I'm a car guy, I've never wore out a motor. I think the key is to keep the oil changed and a good filter. My every day cars get changed at 45k and the cars that sit most of the time don't even get 1k. I've sent oil samples off to confirm, but even the guys that I use to do oil analysis use dino oils.
