Door pin and bushing replacement 2001 tahoe

I like your how to video. I'm looking at doing the same thing. Been debating whether to do it myself or have a local body shop do it. They quoted me $190 for parts and labor, but they were going to do new hinges as well as the bushings.
I hate the slack in my drivers door, getting the a whistling sound from it on the freeway is annoying.

well honestly i dont see why you would need new hinges, unless they have wallowed the holes out from hanging so long.. this was aggravating but straight forward and i only spent 15$ on the hinge kit from oreillys. i was all for this being quick and easy until i realized i was gonna have to grind the old pins out. youre right about the wind noise.. i let mine get so bad that when i would hit a good bump on the interstate it would chop like a back window was cracked open lol..

In your video at 4:10, you said that your kit didn't include a bushing for that one part. Did you get it taken care of?

I havent done it yet but I'm going to have to replace the whole door check.. Not too expensive
