Wife and i Used to sleep in the back of mine when new and always thought it was stupid. I always said, up to when i sold it, i was going to drill a small hole and run a short piece of aircraft cable to just be able to open from the inside.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one locking myself in the cargo area lol. This also can be adapted for the lift gates as well.

That would be neat, but I would be a little concerned with hitting things overhead.

Nnbs have auto-pooping hatches....’15 + have a knob to adjust how high it opens..i think there are 2 settings..low and high.... hehe...seriously tho, true story

I have an auto- trunk lid on my town car, but if the hatch on either my wife's Tahoe or my Suburban auto- opened, I'd have a smashed hatch AND a smashed garage door. Would be interesting to be able to control how high the hatch lifted, though. Well, for my wife, at least. At 6' 2", I need the full lift.
