Door switch lighting out

Anyone have any experience with the door switches losing their illumination? They all function properly but are all of a sudden dark.

The bulbs do burn out. I know a few guys here have posted about changing them.

@Rocket Man is the only one I can think of right now.

I think @Sam Harris may have done his, or has the plan. Apparently the '02 and earlier switches are a PITA.

I’ve done the driver door, but want to redo them with appropriate LEDs. The ones I used the first time were regular LEDs like I used for all the dash / hvac, etc, and the door LEDs should be SMD (surface mount diodes) now that I have them, just need to tear into it and redo them, along with the rest of the doors. Mines an ‘03, so not bad at all.

But are you saying all of them went out at once...? What year is your rig? @Dawg_Dan_the_Man

i have '01 xl . same issue on passenger side front rear doors. switches work but no illumination.
