Door switch??

Hey guys,

My '04 Yukon XL Denali is having a problem.

The majority of the time when I open the driver door the interior lights will not come on. If I open any other door they will come on. When I turn the truck off, the radio keeps playing and my windows retain power as they should. When I open the driver side door, a majority of the time the radio will not turn off until I open any of the other doors. What could be causing this?

I am not super familiar with the inner workings of this vehicle. I appreciate any input you might have.

Good call on the door switch. You can try the ford remedy and spray a little w-d in the striker opening and closing and opening your door a bunch of times to try to work the switch loose. Or take the door panel off and get to the latch assy. inside the door, maybe able to free it up that way.
