I'm not finding much on this issue. Using the fob when I unlock the doors, they immediately lock. I have to hold the unlock button until I open the door and then use the doors unlock button to unlock the rest of doors. As soon as I release the unlock button on the fob all doors lock again. I have the passive lock feature turned off. I've read this could be an actuator issue, however every actuator issue I've seen only affects that one door. Maybe a fob issue? I only have one fob so no real way to test. I guess I could take the battery out of the fob an manually unlock the door with the key to see if the issue happens. This is very annoying. Tried to detail the truck last weekend and moving around the vehicle to clean inside of it the doors would lock as I was walking around.

interested to know if anyone else has had this issue or have heard of it.

Thanks!

I'd lean towards a fob as my first check. I had a fob back in the day that was flaky due a glitch with the board and would do features I didn't ask for. If you have a second fob, keep the problem child far away.... like in another room at the opposite end of the house, then use the second on your vehicle and see if it repeats. You'll know right away if it's a fob or a truck issue.

Or pull the batteries from all fobs and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, put batteries back in one at a time.

As noted, I only have one fob so its an easy test. I pulled the battery out of my one Fob and I took the truck out for errand. No auto locking. I guess I'll take a look at internals of the fob and see if I can't see what the issue is. I've found some instructions on pairing a new fob, however looks like I need a working one to start the process. On to finding a replacement fob I guess.

I wish my issue was that easy. I took apart the fob and nothing looks amiss. I did use the truck yesterday and left the fob dismantled and the issue was gone. I have a replacement fob on the way. I hope the old fob will work for the programming of the new fob. Looks like the mystery is solved, bad fob.

In case this happens to anyone else. I found some instructions online to reprogram a fob, however none of them worked. On my 2017 with key start compared to the online videos I found, had a different informational system than mine. I don't have actual gauge clusters across the top row, they are all digital. Anyway, I then turned my search to free or open source ODB2 software that could program the fobs. I couldn't find anything that looked like it would work. I did see a few online paid subscription type apps that possibly could do what I was looking for, but I still wasn't sure. Seemed like the cheapest solution was going to run me ~$60. I ended up landing on this device: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09XTM24K2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

Even though the device says it only supports up to 2014 on the Tahoe, on setting 2 this worked for my 2017. I now have fully working fobs again, back lift gate, back window and remote start confirmed. The truck no longer immediately locks once unlocked. I still wish I could have found an open source programing tool.
