Draining transmission pan 2008 Tahoe

So I’m only trying to suck out the oil in the pan from the dipstick/ filler tube, was wondering when I suck out what’s in the pan if I start the engine run it for maybe 20 seconds and shut it off I know I could probably get more oil out of it. That shouldn’t hurt anything if I start it and then shut it off for a short time ?

PS I replaced the filter about 7000 miles ago just trying to freshen up the oil a little!

I wouldn't start the engine with the pan already drained. That would have the internal pumps trying to pull fluid and might suck air. Just get the 4 quarts out with the suction pump and go with that.

Or, drop the pan as far as possible with only a back bolt holding it loosely and suck it dry that way. I've done that on the 6L80 and usually get about 5-6 quarts out. Then button it back up and fill.

So I removed 4 Quarts of trans fluid and I have a gallon of Valvoline Full Synthetic Oil, that should be mixing it with what I have there now ?
