Ive been unlocking the door with my key for a week now but decided today to reach out and grab/twist on the rubber wire harness/boot that connects the truck to the door....My locks works now. Ladies and gents, I do believe I have a short after all...

Coincidence on the wiring loom????
These door lock actuators seem to be a common issue I just replaced drivers side rear on a 2009 Tahoe and it already had an aftermarket replacement in it. (used truck I bought about 15 mths ago) It is an easy job no big deal. I bought the elcheapo replacement for 34 dollars it looks like an OEM type part is around 105 dollars.
Saw that some guys were replacing the mechanism's internal electric motor but the replacement was 35 dollars and involved a bunch of tedious extra work on the original part. Here is a pic of the old part it was stamped made in Taiwan new part looks identical but is stamped made in china Haha. IMG_9307.jpg
