I am trying to replace the broken driver side mirror in a 03 Tahoe for a friend. It seemed simple but I can't locate the plug on the harness. I reviewed a youtube video an the plug is above the door panel in plain site. On the Tahoe it is not there. Do I have to remove the door to get to it?

You need to remove the triangular plastic piece above the interior door panel directly inline where the mirror mounts up to the door but on the inside!! Just pull out on the top of it, has 2-3 snaps on it and the plug will be behind that! At least that's what my '02 is like!

I'm in the process of replacing my drivers side mirror as well.

Some of them come with the longer harness and I believe it's behind the door panel.

Chauncey, that must be the case because I have pulled the triangular trim and there is no connector. Guess I will pull the door.
