So for my birthday my baby( My 1999 SLT 4x4 GMC Yukon) decided it's driver side window was going to break. I got home that night and when I rolled up my window it reached the top and there was a loud pop or a bang sound almost. It cought me off guard and now when I go to roll down the window absolutly nothing happends.. no noise, no click-click-click, nothing. just simply will not move from the fully up position. Any ideas or help on what the culprit could be would be greatly appriciated.

if I recall the whole window mechanism comes on a metal panel that bolts to the door. It includes electric motor gears and the arms. Check local pricing at auto parts store and salvage yard. Should be same as Tahoe Suburban and maybe Silverado.

unknown at this time.
you can get a new gm motor regulator assembly for about $120. replace that whole assembly to prevent it from happening again. as mentioned before the motor/gearbox might have come apart.
