Drivers door lock actuator... Door Ajar

Ok, Ive been getting the door ajar warning for the drivers door, after researching, ive come up with the door lock actuator needs to be replaced that has the door ajar micro switch imbedded in it. The GM part number for this whole assembly is 15110643. Expensive little part, $200.00+. My question is, Could you not just purchase the actual actuator itself, GM part number 25664288 for 40-50 bucks, pull the old assembly apart and replace just the actuator? Since the switch for the door ajar is in the door latch itself? DOnt need all teh other hardward that comes with the 15110643. Just a new latch. AM I correct in this train of thought??? Thanks
