drivers seat movement

2004 tahoe my drivers seat will only move forward about 2" and the motor stops the motor will still hum when it gets to the end going back anyone have an idea as to what I should look at. I have check all the connections I can find. thank you in advance. Earl

Take the seat loose (4 bolts) and flip the seat backwards so the bottom of the seat is facing forward (the dash). Use the seat buttons and see if the gears are getting wound up.
